Negotiations were held with the rector of Istanbul University, which has been in existence since 1453

Professor Mahmut AK, the rector of Istanbul University, founded by Mehmed II on May 30, 1453, a day after Constantinople was captured by the Turks, and professor Sherzodkhan Kudrathoja, rector of JMCU, held bilateral talks.

The rectors gave information about the history of the universities they lead. It was discussed how the educational process will be conducted, and in which fields of study.

Rector of Istanbul University, professor Mahmut AK said that more than 67 thousand students study at the university, more than 10 thousand employees work, there are 2 Nobel Prize laureates, and there are more than 2.5 million manuscripts and works in Latin script in its library. He said the university will include 17 faculties, 14 institutes and 3 hospitals. He said more than 3 million applicants apply to Istanbul University annually. The university said that it has more than 400 potential.
